A British financial-comparison and consumer group wants banks to set tighter guidelines on card fraud cases. The group, Which?, has called on UK regulators to require banks to offer more information about evidence that financial institutions should provide in fraud cases. The group made the request to the Financial Services Authority. The call comes after at least two cases in which consumers claimed fraudsters stole payment-card details and used them for cash withdrawals even through those cards carried chips with the EMV antifraud applications. Financial and legal authorities ruled against the consumers.
