Daniela Mielke is the new chief strategy officer at Vantiv, where she will help lead product innovation, profitability, revenue and scale for the Cincinnati-based payments processor.
Mielke was most recently vice president of global strategy at PayPal, where she was responsible for overseeing market intelligence and corporate, regional and product strategy for PayPal---and leading strategic planning discussions for companywide mobile strategy, ecosystem strategy, company-level competitive response and shared services at PayPal's parent, eBay.
"Daniela is a dynamic, results-oriented leader who comes to Vantiv with deep experience in payments strategy and financial services," said Charles Drucker, chief executive officer at Vantiv, in a Sept. 17 press release. "She is an accomplished and practical payments professional who has built successful teams and relationships throughout her career, and we look forward to her doing the same at Vantiv."
Prior to working at PayPal, Mielke was senior vice president of global strategy at Visa where she led the development of strategic and market intelligence projects, including the company's long-term positioning, business development, corporate transformation and performance enhancement. She has also held various finance, sales and marketing positions with McKinsey & Co. and Nestle.
