EZCheck Adds Gift, Loyalty Services
EZCheck, a Houston-based payment-services company, says it has added gift and loyalty card programs in addition to its check services.
Merchants using EZCheck’s gift and loyalty product manage their own programs, which enables merchants to text messaging and e-mail for marketing purposes.
EZCheck also sells check guarantee, automated clearinghouse and electronic check processing services.
TransFirst To Use ControlScan
TransFirst Holdings Inc., a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based payments company, says it will use data-security services from ControlScan Inc. to improve merchant compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
TransFirst merchants will access ControlScan’s compliance services online, which will enable them to analyze their payment technologies, prepare a plan to take corrective actions and validate their compliance. ControlScan is based in Atlanta.
Westpac Places Order For 15,000 Hypercom Terminals
Westpac Banking Corp. is deploying 15,000 Hypercom Corp. Optimum-branded point-of-sale terminals as part of a $50 million deal the two companies announced last year, Hypercom announced this week.
Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Hypercom says the terminals—including T4210, T4220, T4230 and M4230 models—are shipping now.
Australia-based Westpac also is using ACG Group Pty Ltd., a Hypercom subsidiary, to service the bank’s 80,000 POS terminals merchants already in use, a move that began in the last two months.
VeriFone Buys Italian Firm
VeriFone Systems Inc. says this week it has bought a majority stake in All Business Solutions, an Italy-based payment integrator and software developer, from the company’s founders and ACI Informatica, which will keep a minority ownership.
All Business Solutions operates ABScard, an online payment gateway and loyalty processing system that processes transactions from mobile phones, unattended kiosks, Web browser and from point-of-sale devices, VeriFone says.
