Visa Inc., a worldwide partner of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, will install 26 ATMs in and around the Olympic Village before the games open Aug. 8. Visa is placing some of the ATMs in the Olympic Press Center, International Broadcasting Center and the Green Home Media Village. The ATMs are housed in curved structures adorned with blue and white brush strokes and traditional signature seal designs found on Chinese porcelain vases. "We wanted to showcase our partnership with the Olympic Games in Beijing in an appealing way to visitors," Richard Chang, Visa executive vice president and general manager for Greater China and the Philippines, said in a statement. Through partnerships with Chinese banks, Visa has installed more than 90,000 ATMs in China, the payments company says.
