Charles Prince, chairman and CEO of Citigroup Inc., resigned last month after reporting expectations that Citi will write off $8 billion to $11 billion during the quarter because of a sharp drop in the value of securities tied to subprime mortgages. Citi's board named Win Bischoff, chairman of Citi Europe, as acting CEO. Robert Rubin, chairman of the board's executive committee, took over as board chairman.
Heartland Payment Systems has named Robert Baldwin president and CEO. He previously was the processor's chief financial officer. Heartland also promoted Alan Sims to chief technology officer and Marty Moretti to chief service officer.
Fleetcor has promoted Charles Freund managing director of The Fuelcard Co., a UK-based subsidiary Fleetcor recently acquired.
PSCU Financial Services has named Peter Grandelli as its chief operating officer, overseeing the company's contact centers in Florida, Arizona and Michigan. Grandelli previously spent 31 years in operations management at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Glenn Embury has been promoted to vice president of operations at Image Capture Technologies Inc., the manufacturing subsidiary of Digital Check Corp.. Embury joined Image Capture in 2002 as general manager and was responsible for daily operations.
Total System Services Inc., or TSYS, has named Arnold Sneijers as European sales director. Sneijers joins TSYS from SiNSYS, where he was director of commerce and business development for the pan-European interbanking company serving the card-payments industry.
Payments consultancy Edgar, Dunn & Co. has named Erik van Winkel as a manager in its London office. Van Winkel previously served in a variety of management positions at MasterCard Worldwide.
