Wirecard, an electronic payments company based in Germany, has partnered with Bank Mega to provide retailer Carrefour Indonesia with point of sale technology.
The payment company's Indonesian subsidiary, PT Prima Vista Solusi, will work with Jakarta-based Bank Mega to provide the chain of nearly 100 retail stores with terminals and infrastructure to support Near Field Communication and EMV-chip card payments. The bank, one of Indonesia's largest, has 344 branches.
Wirecard provides outsourced and white-labeled electronic payment options for companies.
