Yapital Financial AG in Luxembourg is integrating its cross-channel payment system into the platforms of VeriFone Systems and the Ingenico Group.
Both partnerships, announced Sept. 10, will expand the use of Yapital's cashless cross-channel payment at the point of sale across Europe and are part of Yapitals strategic goal to expand its bank partner network and enhance services through technology partners.
Through VeriFone, Yapital's cross-channel payment solution will be initially accessible through the VeriFone H5000 terminals, according to a press release. VeriFone will enable Yapital customers to pay merchants and retailers simply by using their smartphone to scan a QR code at the point of sale. The full integration of Yapital into other VeriFone terminals will follow later this year.
Ingenico Group also agreed to include Yapital's cross-channel payment solution in its Ingenico Payment Services' e-commerce and in-store processing platforms. In Germany, Yapital said, its cross-channel payment option will be first deployed on the terminal base Ingenico inherited from Easycash, and on the Ingenico Payment Services e-commerce platform in the coming months.
"Consumers will be able to pay with their smartphone wherever they want not just online, but at both major high-street retailers and small local businesses alike," Nils Winkler, Yapital's chief executive, said in a press release.
